Spindle & Fern grew from my love of sewing. As a bag and accessories maker at Mara J Arts, I’ve always believed that every fabric in a project should feel special, from the outer layer to the hidden lining.

I adore high quality quilting cottons and the way their patterns and textures bring designs to life, yet, the ones that truly steal my heart, were often so hard to find here in the UK!

When one of my favourite shops closed its doors, I realised it was time to do something about it. A spark was created from the quiet frustration of not finding the fabrics that truly inspired me.

So, Spindle and Fern was born!

A small, homegrown collection of rare and beautiful fabrics, carefully sourced and shared with other makers who understand the joy of finding the perfect print.
